OUR HISTORY: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church was the first Lutheran congregation in Wilmington, NC. St. Paul’s was founded in the mid 1800s by German immigrants who had settled in Wilmington. Since English was the second language of most members, services were held in German. [MORE] |

PASTORAL CARE: Pastor Sam works full-time as the congregation’s Senior Pastor. In addition to his primary work as chief preacher (4 weekly services) and teacher (5 weekly classes) and supervisor of staff and partner in ministry with lay leaders, Pastor Sam routinely makes hospital visits, has appointments for pastoral conversations in offices, restaurants, and homes, and is available for crisis ministry.
