ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPT 4 THRU SEPT 10

• Lectio Divina Exploratory Meeting will be held 9:45AM on Sept. 12 in room 117. Please join us to learn about praying over Scripture.
• St. Matthew's Sunday Congregational Luncheon will be Sept. 19th at 12:30 PM in McSwain. Instructions and sign-up sheets are on the Ministry Board on the end wall of the Commons.
• All high school youth! Lutheran Youth Organization is sponsoring a high school retreat at St. Matthew’s Sept 10-12. Join youth from the surrounding areas for servant work and fellowship. Info and sign-up sheets are on the Youth board.
• OWL's Christmas Dinner Theater at Duplin Winery matinee on Saturday, Dec. 18 for $40.83 plus $2 for a group tour and wine tasting. Please sign up on the Ministry Board on the end wall of the Commons. This sells our early so we need to get tickets quickly.
• Youth Groups begin again Rally Day, Sept. 12 . There is a change this year with middle school meeting 4 - 6 PM and high schol from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. There will be a shared meal each week at 5:30 for the two groups to share fellowship and an activity. If you wish to help with meals, there is a sign up sheet on the Youth board.
• Lutheran Student Movement campus ministry begins on Mon., Sept 20 at 7 PM in the gym for anyone that is furthering their education beyond high school regardless of age. The gathering will start each week with a meal. If you would like to help with meals for this ministry sign up on the Ministry Board on the end wall of the Commons.
• Social Ministry needs your help through Sept. A labeled box for the collection of school supplies is in the Commons. The supplies (spiral notebooks, pencils, highlighters, craft paper, etc.) will be given to public schools for distribution.
• WELCA Circles are meeting again on their regular schedule.
• The altar flower chart has a few open dates. If you are interested in placing flowers on the altar for a memorial or special date, see the chart in the Commons.
• The choir and other musicians' schedules resume this month. Adult choir rehearsals at 7 PM on Sept. 8. All other choirs nad handbells will begin on Sept. 15.
